Disney Day 5 - Epcot

Published May 8, 2021

Today we returned to Epcot.

We continue to have nice cool weather which is wonderful. It will warm up next week but there’s still a couple of days of mild and relatively dry days.

Today we caught up on a couple of things we didn’t get to on our first time at Epcot. The Frozen film themes Norway ride to kill time. It’s decent and much better than the film. The boat ride in Mexico. Then going through the rest of the countries and looking at shops. The Japanese shop was the only one that was very interesting for me.

Then we relaxed in a back alley in Morocco under a Macadamia Nut tree while waiting for our lunch reservation in Canada.

Then over to Canada in time for lunch.

We were dining at La Cellier which is themed as if you are in a cellar. It’s a nice cellar, but still. Maybe it is to compensate for the lack of windows they could build into that part of the building.

La Cellier is a high end steak house. Think $55 steaks. I had never been there and my mom wanted to splurge.

I had the cheddar cheese soup which was delicious. I didn’t know quite what to expect and it was very light and also evoked delicious cheddar cheese.

Then I had a rib-eye steak which was enormous and came with some potatoes.

This was probably the best steak I’ve ever had. The flavor and seasoning were amazing and perfect. It was wonderful. And huge.

We finished our lunch. Decided there was no reason to stop at the Dole Whip stand on the way out and slowly made our way back to the car and back to camp.
