Ozark to Lake City - Day 9

Published May 2, 2021

Well we finally reached Eastern Standard Time.

I began to think I’d be in Central time forever. Not that I mind, Chris is there. But still. We kept going East. It kept being Central.

Today was again a relatively easy drive.

The biggest difference in the landscape is the large sections of forest tht were wiped out by the hurricane that came through a couple years ago and wiped out Panama City.

In Lake City we are now a short distance from Orlando. The weather is typical Florida. We are staying indoors with the AC on.

Next to us is an enormous 5th wheel trailer pulled by a full sized semi rig cab. It seems to belong to a extended family that does Christian ministry from place to place. Bible verse references painted on the semi rig. Their Christian web site address on the back of the trailer. Possibly the Van and trailer in the site behind it also theirs. Big operation.

They even have the traditional framed portrait of White Jesus hanging on their bathroom door so you see it as soon as you open the main door. That’s across from us.

I’m getting some writing done though I’m a bit tired. I didn’t sleep that well last night. I was thinking about work and unnecessarily worrying. Sometimes unnecessary worry creeps up.
