Meridian to Ozark - Day 8

Published May 1, 2021

We had a pretty easy drive across Alabama from Meridian to Ozark, AL.

Along the way we drove through the outskirts of Selma and Montgomery, both places I want to explore more in future.

I also slept really well. Asleep by around 8:30pm and awake by around 4:30am which is normal for me with tired and that much time available. It was nice to feel rested.

So the drive was easy. Lots of green and a pretty quiet road. The campground we ended up in is very nice and has incredibly fast WiFi. I think they must have fibre broadband installed around these parts.

Then I spent much of the afternoon working on things. I’ve started going through an SEO course I bought some time ago. Getting websites more effectively found via web searches is something I want to learn more about for myself and clients. Now it’s time to finally go through the course.

I also did a couple of website related things. Good progress on one till I remembered why it’s hard to do both website writing and website design at the same time. I had stopped doing it, figured I could get away with combining them because this one is “simple”. Lesson learned.

Then some work on the Emergency Med site for the new way they want to sell their course. Learned it’s more complicated than I first thought. May need to charge them more or decree that their existing tech team needs to do the hard parts. I’m still gathering info.

At this point, I look forward to having time to work on my own marketing and business building. That won’t happen until after traveling is done.
