We got up early to make the drive East from Bakersfield into Arizona.
The drive was pretty uneventful but got windy by the end. We made it to a favorite RV park a little East of Kingman, AZ where there were cute cactuses all over.
After we finished up dinner and about 3 hours after we arrived there, we saw smoke coming over the ridge to the South of us.
This was quickly growing to be a lot of smoke. The wind was also coming from the South which made is think that if we stayed, the “best” outcome might be smoke descending to ground level which wouldn’t be fun. There was another town with a decent RV park about 60 miles up the road so we pulled up camp and drove onward.
Ending up in Seligman, AZ which is one of the towns that was on historic Route 66.
We’ll get up early tomorrow due to expected winds.
And I’m rushing to finish a web page project. I’ve been trying to outsource all such work except the people I would normally use are celebrating Ramadan until May 13th and have very little work time as a result. In the mean time, I’m back to pushing buttons.
It’s funny how I convince myself this will be hard, though.
That scared part of my mind makes it seem like it will be a lot of work since I’ll have to do all of the design and layout of the page myself. And then I remember that the tools I use have several hundred pre designed elements I can stick together into a basic landing page. Plus about 30-40 pre-designed entire landing pages.
Stitch together what I need, change the base colors and fonts. Drop in some photos. Copy /paste my text and I should be done.
Not that I’ll make a habit of this. It’s better to have someone else doing it so I can focus on other things like bringing in new business.
It was a good day, though.
