Snowpiercer?

Published January 25, 2021

This post feels a tad more self-indulgent than most.

I saw a banner ad for a tv show called SnowPiercer. There might have been sone video to go with it. It looked ridiculous. I looked further.

According to Wikipedia the premise is thus:

Snowpiercer is set in 2021, seven years after the world becomes a frozen wasteland, and follows the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a perpetually moving train consisting of 1001 carriages that circles the globe 2.7 times per year. (It takes 133 days to complete a circumnavigation.) Built by billionaire Wilford, the train is rigidly separated by class, with passengers caught up in a revolutionary struggle against the strictly imposed social hierarchy and unbalanced allocation of limited resources.[3] The show explores issues of class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival.

This sounds more pointless ridiculous vs dumb and possibly entertaining ridiculous to me. Still, some questions:

Among other things. The “rigitly separated by class” part actually makes complete sense because, you know, trains. You buy your ticket you get your seat.

Anyway, not something I’ll be watching.
