Last weekend I spent far too long hooking up a contact form on this site.
Most of the time was thinking I should do the whole thing myself and be all fancy and technical.
It’s a personal problem I struggle with. Doing too much technical work. In this case probably about 5 hours worth. Maybe more. I don’t want to think about it. Luckily it was a weekend. And then I didn’t feel a need to do non-business related work all week.
The final solution was accept that my email marketing tool of choice let’s you add contact forms on your website and I just used theirs and made it prettier. It’s down there at the bottom of this page. You fill out your info and then once a week you’ll get an email with links to the latest articles on this site.
It is an elegant solution and doesn’t increase my costs, except for the time I spent going down rabbit holes thinking I could write something myself.
I’d like to further improve the look of the site but for now my time is probably better spent writing. I have a bunch of recipes I’d like to get in here. With photos, even.
